Back Home in Palm Beach

Yay for North Palm Beach! Yay for no work! Yay for no worries! Yay for no commitments! Yay for no responsibilities! YAY!!!

I have nothing exciting to report. I went to St. Mark’s today for their Eucharist service this morning. I saw a lot of my old teachers. I always love to see Mr. Hays when I go back. Mr. Hays was the only good math teacher I’ve ever had. I took math from him for three years: 6th grade math, pre-algebra, and algebra. I think the craziest moment was seeing Mrs. McMullin, who was my 1st grade teacher… 14 years ago!! I also saw Tim Wilcox, who was my youth pastor when I was in middle school. He hasn’t been the youth leader at that church in about 4 years, so I was surprised to see him there. It turns out he’s now working at the school as a gym coach. He’s in between jobs I assume, having just finished up seminary.

Last night I got to spend about an hour with my cousin Ryan. He goes to UM and came up just to see me. Well, I guess he came to see my parents and my sister too, but I’d like to think he just came to see me. Let’s put it this way, he stayed in town until 10 PM just to see me. He had a class at 10 AM this morning to get to, plus some commitments with his girlfriend who is flying into Tampa in the afternoon.

I’m being told by my mom that I need to finish filling out some paperwork before more family arrives in about an hour. So anything else that I’ve got to say will just have to wait.
