So I went down to the FSU housing office today to pick up an application to become night staff. Basically I would work the front desk of a dorm in the wee hours of the AM. I’m pretty much a lock for the job. There’s a high turnover rate for night staff. But the only question that’s giving me trouble on the application is this one:
Please list and briefly discuss your past work experiences that are relevant to the Night Staff program. [Emphasis added]
I have never worked a night job. I have never worked a desk job. So I’m not sure what I’m supposed to put here. Maybe I’ll put those first two sentences of this paragraph. Like I said, I still don’t think it’s going to keep me from getting the job. Plus, one of my two references is Paul Harlacher, a.k.a. Stunning, who (a) worked night staff when he was a student back in the day, and (b) currently works for the FSU police dept doing… something. But you get the idea. He’s a stud, and his word alone should get me the job. My other reference is Vi Schwartzmann, the person who reaped the benefits of my Eagle Scout project at the Marlborough Senior Center, so that will also be a great reference.
What else…? I turned in all my Florence paperwork today that still needed to get in. The most important of which was my visa application. I’ve got A-Team tonight. First A-Team meeting sans Dave Wirgau of the semester. PARTY!!
