Yay for birthday presents! I got a package from my momma today (well, from my mom, dad and sister, but you know it was my mom that put the effort into it). I got brownies (yay for no dilantin!) and a portable CD player (at least until I kill it). It’s one of those MP3 ones too, so I can take one or two CDs with me to Europe and have hours of music.
And my Nana sent me a card. And let me tell you, this is a big deal. Usually it’s a card and a check and a “Love, Nana” at the bottom. This year she wrote a note in there. A note! That’s huge! I was so pumped by that you can’t even imagine.
So my April Fools Day did bring a prank my way, but this one was from God. Yes, God has a sense of humor. I was late to class because I hit the snooze button too many times (that’s a bad habbit I’m getting into) and ran outside. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. And it was butt cold. Or at least really windy and a little chilly, but the wind chill made it feel like it was 30 degrees. I actually made it to class early even though I was running late just because I was running to get out of the cold.
I’ve still got to write a 1-page summary before 3:30 today, and I’m meeting with Dave Wirgau for lunch (supposedly, he hasn’t gotten back to me yet). So I’d better stop typing here and get to work.
