So I’ve got a few complaints to voice today. First of all, no one did their homework. I asked people to give me some ideas for a website URL for my homepage and I didn’t get any. You’re all no help at all.
Second, as I’m getting ready for church this morning I turn on ESPN News only to find that Ricky Williams, the 27-year-old Heisman Trophy winning running back for the Miami Dolphins is retiring! What kind of crap is that? The Dolphins are going to be awful this season now. If he had told us even a few days earlier we could have signed Eddie George, but the Cowbows got to him first. UGH!
Third, today at church Pastor Tom announces that there’s a youth event on Thursday. Thursday? That’s when Soul Fest starts! I thought it was going to be on Wednesday. Now I have to either talk Pastor Tom into switching it to Wednesday, miss the first part of Soul Fest (which would mean that I had another way to get there, which at present I don’t have), or skip Soul Fest all together.
Now for the good things about today. Church was awesome because we were giving our report on U.M. Army. Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France (he’s my hero, or at least one of them). I got an email from my former roommate Andy Larkin wondering how I was doing. And Lindy replaced the string on my bass (she broke the E string somehow).
Oh, one more bit of good news that I discovered during the course of U.M. Army. I got a phone call from Scott P Moriak during the middle of the week. It turned out that he had gotten into Rogers Hall but I wasn’t his roommate. So he dug into it. It turned out that he had been put into a room with a girl.
That would have been funny on move-in day. Anyway, the people at housing put me and Scott into Rogers 722. We are officially roommates.
