Quote of the Day: “I lose control so quickly.” — Professor Nicole Kelley, as the entire Christian Apologists class begins to talk about infomercials
This week hasn’t been too bad so far. Lots of homework though. I spent seven hours on Monday night reading for my Christian Apologists class. Now, granted, I had an entire week to do that reading and chose to do it all the night before, but still. My first Spanish test will be this Friday, but my other classes are still moving pretty slowly.
Physical therapy on my shoulder is going well. All the pain that I had without even moving my arm is gone. Now it only hurts if I do something stupid. One of my exercises they assigned me to do requires a piece of elastic. They made me buy a piece of yellow “medical elastic” so I could do them at home. It wasn’t cheap: $8. That’s the business I need to get into.
Tuesday was the first meeting of the A-Team. All but one member came back for the fall semester. Amanda plugged in with another ministry. I’m sad to see her go but as long as she’s doing what God wants her to I guess I have no reason to complain [thanks for the error check Sam]. Surprisingly we got a lot done. I thought it would take us a while to get back into the groove (or get into the groove in the first place, depending on your opinion). We’ve sketched out a pretty good plan for the rest of the semester. I’m excited to see what all my team can do in their lame duck semester. Somehow I want to go out with a bang.
I got a crazy cell phone bill on Tuesday. I went over my minute total by 131 minutes. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. It made me feel kind of feminine to be honest with you. It’s all because of the calls I was making and receiving during Freshmen Fun Week. I’m thinking that it’s high time I got a plan with more minutes.
This morning I had breakfast with the Joel Helms at Jim & Milt’s. I also had a chance to meet his partner Josh. The two of them have been full time missionaries in Argentina for the better part of this year. Before that Joel used to disciple me. We traded our international travel stories, took a look at the Word, and had some pretty dang good breakfast. Joel’s giving a testimony at this week’s Nav Night that I’m really pumped about.
So yeah, that’s about all there is to say today friends. I think I’m going to go to Fire over at Wesley tonight. I’ve gone a couple of times this semester and I’m really liking it. It’s no substitute for Navigators, but what is? ![]()
