So I’m in the middle of hurricane number four. Tropical Storm Jeanne is currently hitting Tallahassee. School was not cancelled today, so I walked to my Spanish class in the pouring rain and the really strong wind. I got there and my prof cancelled class. D’oh! But it’s not all
bad. Everyone who showed up gets extra credit on their next exam. So I guess that makes it worth it. Barely.
These past few days have been pretty crazy. On Thursday the highlight wasn’t Nav Night. It wasn’t because my Bible study wasn’t good or anything; it was awesome in fact. But something even better came along. I went to a Family Group at Wesley that Vance was leading. Only in this case it wasn’t much of a group, it was me and him. So we just talked about all kinds of stuff for about a half hour. That was really cool. I would love to be able to do that more often.
On Thursday I had an hour long finance meeting to go to and on Friday I had a three hour long RSO leaders meeting to go to. I’m not sure, but I don’t think I’ve ever been more bored in my life.
Saturday’s highlight was (of course) the game. FSU beat Clemson 41-22. The score makes it sound like a blowout, but it was actually a really close game for a long time.
Sunday I went to what I thought was a baby shower (and I thought I wasn’t invited until about three hours before it started). It was actually more of a party for Paul and Brittney. She’s due on October 13, so as you can imagine she’s very pregnant at the moment. I hadn’t seen either of them since last Spring so it was great to catch up. The gift theme was kids’ books. I gave ‘little b’ the original Curious George (what a classic). I think Paul was more excited about it than his daughter will ever be.
So here we are today. I’ve got a test in Micro later this afternoon that I’m almost ready for. I’ve also got physical therapy at 10 AM. The original schedule said I’d be done with it today, but I’m thinking they’re going to tell me that I need a couple more weeks.
