Today Is A Turning Point In My Life

Quote of the Day: “Honestly? I keep waiting for them to announce that there’s a Game 8.” — ESPN sportswriter Bill Simmons on his reaction to the Red Sox beating the Yankees in Game 7 of the ALCS

It’s time for another birthday announcement. Jessie Simmons (not related to the sportswriter above, I don’t think) turns 22 today. So unlike yesterday’s birthdays she has been old for a while now, but like them she is still very much young at heart.

I had an awesome time yesterday celebrating Jessie Ray’s birthday. Thank God the flowers I got her actually arrived on her birthday (I put my faith in Jesus, not the system).

I make sure I saw her I went to Fire, which had a couple of great guests. One was a guy named Eric from Asbury Theological Seminary. I got a lot of information from him and I’ll probably be digging into that deeper a little later on.

I was able to do all these things yesterday because I thought I had nailed down everything I needed to know for my Financial Markets test. But after taking it today I’m not sure that’s the case. I don’t know, it probably will end up being a C. I know that I got all three extra credit questions right, it’s the regular credit questions that have me worried.

Today I had the best talk with Dave Wirgau that I have ever had. I’m not going to go into full detail here because it’s really not the appropriate time or place but I can’t not mention it. This will be one of those days and one of those moments that I remember for all my life because today I got a new start.

Now I’m off to get stuff done for tonight’s Nav Night. I’m not sure if anyone is playing Halo tonight or not. At the moment I’m feeling pretty tired so I might not go even if there is any.
