When 24 Is Lame, Something Is Wrong With The Universe

I’m having a hard time believing it but my sister turns 17 today. Happy birthday Alison!

I have to say that last night’s episode of 24 was super lame. The twenty or so mercenaries coming to get Jack couldn’t kill any of the four people in the store they were hiding in. It took a pathetic last gasp shot just to wound Paul. Sarah being fired by Michelle was done in a very sloppy manner. It just wasn’t believable at all. I hope Sarah becomes evil somehow, otherwise her character was a waste. The best part of the whole episode was the part I thought I’d like the least. The chemistry between Tony and Michelle is actually a fun part to watch. I’m not too keen on Audrey playing match-maker between the two of them, but I guess someone had to do it. And let it be known that I was right: Jack torturing Paul is making Audrey have second thoughts about leaving Paul for Jack. I so called that one. From the preview it looks like Dina will be coming back next episode and will have a significant role for a while unless she gets killed. It’s too bad; I was kind of hoping she was done.

I think my sour opinion of last night’s episode is due in no small part to having watched season one last week. Season one was so good, so much better than this one. Season four doesn’t have anyone switching sides or big plot twists, it just has a lot of shock value violence and people going to extreme measures to accomplish their goals. They are 13 hours into this season so there’s still plenty of time to improve. We’ll have to see what they come up with.

Tomorrow I sign up for classes for the second-to-last time. It’s kind of exciting. Tomorrow I’m signing up for 13 hours but I want to take 15. I’ll put up my schedule once I officially have one.
