I’m happy to say that as of today I’ve implemented Facebook Connect on my website. This is part of Facebook’s attempt to further take over the Internet, and I’m happy to help them out. You can now use your Facebook login to leave comments on my website. It’s a pretty cool idea on the part of Facebook, since no one likes to have to sign up for yet another website account. Let me walk you through what the process will look like on my site.

This morning my roommate alerted me to the fact that our house, formerly known as Camp Special and yet-to-be renamed, is now on Google Street View. Rather than give you a link to Google — and thereby reveal my home address to the entire planet — I’ve taken a screen shot. [Here's a larger resolution.] It’s not a bad picture. It was taken before my roommates and I moved in (none of those cars are ours).
Yesterday was my last day in the office until 2009! No, I don’t have an enormous vacation coming up, but by all appearances it may seem that way. I scored one of the best deals ever. I will be teleworking starting Monday all the way through Christmas Eve. After that I will be on vacation, since all FSU employees are given December 25 through January 2 off.
Not long ago I wrote about my very first purchase from the Apple Store. A little more than six weeks ago I bought toy number two: a brand new MacBook Pro.
Today I read an article on Daily Blog Tips entitled What Are Your Internet Goals for 2009? Group Writing Project. The timing was perfect. Just yesterday I was thinking about the direction my site is taking and what I hope to accomplish with it in the future. I’ve been blogging for almost five years. When I first started it was to have a place to write about my experiences while studying abroad. But since then I’ve branched out and it’s become one of my favorite hobbies.
So, this post will be my entry into that writing project. But before I list out my goals I’d like to take a close look at where I believe my site is missing the mark and why that might be.
