Would You Wear a Status Update?

Facebook Status T-shirt?

What do you want your clothes to say about you? Well, now you can take chance out of the equation.

I recently read on Mashable about two different services that will turn your favorite status update into a t-shirt. If you’re like me then you just rolled your eyes.  Status King allows you to take a Facebook status update and create a t-shirt out of it. If you’re more into Twitter, pipe your favorite tweet into TWItoShirt for the same deal. Each shirt will run you about $20, depending on the style you choose.

Hey There You Nav Girls

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, and last night the men of the Navigators put on the third annual Nav Valentine’s Day Banquet to honor the women in the ministry. This year I helped out by being a lyricist. Rob Hodges, Bryson Bard,  Zack Latham and I rewrote the lyrics to “Hey There Delilah” (hear the original here) into the instant classic “Hey There You Nav Girls,” which was then sung live at the banquet. As writers, we took a few liberties here and there but I think in the end we put together a pretty good song. Since it was a little wordy (much more so than last year’s “Nav Girls“) we had one man since each verse and the bridge, and then we all joined in during the chorus. Here are the lyrics.

Share Your Spring Conference Stories

I have a favor to ask of any and all FSU students who attended the Navigators Spring Conference this past weekend. I’d like to hear your stories.

Just like each person on the staff team, I have a network of people who pray for the ministry work I do on campus. I recently wrote them about the conference and asked them to pray for us this weekend. Furthermore, some of these prayer warriors also contributed financially during the months leading up to the trip so that it would be more affordable for students to attend. Typically I give these prayer partners a recap of the events and share my own impressions. But I thought it would be even more special if I could quote some students when I tell them about the weekend.
