So the Pats didn’t quite destroy the Eagles like I thought they would but they got the win. That means I personally went 5-4 in the postseason, narrowly avoiding my first set of pro postseason predictions under .500. But this destroys the pattern that had developed since Super Bowl XXXI. That was a bad game (Packers vs Patriots), the following year (Packers vs Broncos) was a good game. It had gone like that for eight seasons. We were due for a dud, but Philly put up a good fight. Tied after one, tied at the half, tied after three. It was much more competitive than I thought it would be.
The New England/Boston area is officially Titletown. That’s sad.
I’d like to point out that there are guys who paid money to see women play football in their underwear during the halftime show. I bet they feel robbed.
