News Is Bad News

Once again there’s been a long hiatus. Once again I have no excuse. Inspiration comes at a premium these days I suppose. Here’s what’s been going on in my world.

Job Situation - If no news is good news, inversely that would mean that news is bad news, right? Well, that seems to be the case when it comes to my job search. I am still very unemployed. I was turned down for the position at AHCA that I interviewed for before I left Tallahassee. I have to admit, I was pretty surprised. I thought that job would have been a gimme. But I wasn’t what they were looking for. On all other fronts I’ve heard no news, despite all my efforts. I hope patience really is a virtue, because when this is all said and done I’m going to be mighty virtuous. Or broke in a gutter somewhere.

10 Things I Hate About Commandments

I got this off my buddy Eric’s blog. Do yourself a favor and watch it.

The Early Show

I uploaded a new video! This one is from the NCP reunion this past New Years. It’s our appearance on CBS’s Early Show. I’m in back of the people holding the blue sign, wearing a black wool cap (you can hardly see me unfortunately, but the rest of our crew is fairly visible). To get to it click on the videos link on the navigation bar above. Hope you enjoy it.

Edit: Youtube removed the video because it showed copyrighted material.

Thirst Tells It Like It Is

Hey all, too tired from studying to type up a full update with Christmas party info and all. But I do want to bless you with this link. This commercial has been running on one of the FSU networks, and I think it’s pretty hot. Maybe you’ll think so too. It stars “Thirst,” the star of those Sprite commercials (but this isn’t a Sprite commercial). Just go watch it already.

Fully Integrated

Sometimes it’s all about keeping up with the Joneses. In this case, it’s all about keeping up with the Schwartzes. As of today my blog is now “fully integrated” (whatever that means) with the rest of my website. To many of you this is, I’m sure, the best news you’ve received all day. To others it is news that I actually have a “rest of my website” at all. In any case, I hope you enjoy the addition.

So here’s your daily housing update. Scott and I have decided to live on campus, and we’re going to be roommates. We’re attempting to switch out of McCollum Hall and into Rogers Hall. Supposedly there’s a waiting list even for Rogers, but that seems unlikely since I’ve never met anyone who really wanted to live there (it’s kind of a pit). But if you would pray that we’d get into there I would appreciate it.

Milk Chug Challenge

Right now I’m typing my take-home final for Religion, Ethics & Medicine. It’s not too hard, but it’s still going to take me a while to finish.

Last night was the infamous Milk Chug Challenge at Camp Special. It was Mike vs Sweet Joe vs Scott P Moriak. Scott was about halfway through when he realized he had bought generic Yoo Hoo instead of chocolate milk. Joe got about that far with his 2% milk and threw up. Mike got within about a pint on his skim milk when he couldn’t take it anymore. He barfed too. Ah, such fun.

Marker Fight

So last night there was an altercation on my floor. But that’s not the best part. It was all caught on tape. And I’m bringing it your way exclusively. This is must see TV people!

Jerry & Clark

Check this site out:

http://www.jerry.digisle.tv/room.html

It’s a short film staring Jerry Seinfeld and Superman. It’s not bad, I must say.

Hey Ya, Charlie Brown

If any of you haven’t seen Hey Ya, Charlie Brown yet, it’s must see TV. It was taken down off of its creator’s website because of a cease and desist order from United Feature Syndicate, but I found some dude who put it on his site. I’m going to save it to my computer, but I’m not going to post it up myself. You can check it out on this guy’s site for as long as he’s got it up. Trust me, this is hot! You’ll need QuickTime, but almost every computer has that right?

Edit: I found it on YouTube.
